God please send me an angel I'm trying so hard I know you work in mysterious ways I will not lose faith in you. Thank you for all you have blessed me an my family with.
in response to reecee1...Thank you. I have had a battle myself, but faith and a supportive family and great co workers help. A little prayer goes a long way! I will keep you in mine :)
in response to nurse684care...i am sorry about the ms but, you seem like me dealing with it pretty good i wish you all the best too your patients are very lucky to have you!
in response to reecee1...Thank you for the kind words, I hate it there is not more places or agencies such as mine. I also have MS. I have been on "The other side of homecare" I know from personal experience what it is like. Not to have freedom of your daily activities, or choices due to medical payment issues. I am on a mission to break those barriers, and I wish you lived in my area, I would take you in! Or we will still operate the homecare visiting/in home care. I hope to one day franchise. There needs to be more places like mine. God Bless you and I wish you well.

Help! I need help on bills. I've been disabled for some time now (I had a stroke). I have a couple of bills that have gone into collections, and I was talking to a collector recently who mentioned these resources. If it's possible I would like to get these bills paid off. There are a couple that are $2000 and not being able to work to pay these off has become a problem. I don't make enough with disability to make payment arrangements in order to pay these off. I'm considered permanently disabled. I want to work, but because of the tremor I have in my left hand and very limited use of it, I'm not able.
My project is getting closer to a reality, I have found the perfect building. I have staff that are excited to work with me, along with some prospective clients. I will be pitching my idea to the SBA, hoping they go for it. THere is nothing else like this in town. Reasonable, yet a homelide atmosphere, a small place for elderly to go, feeling like home. My lifelong dream. I canot see how We can fail. I am currently managing a n independent living facility as a nurse manager. Great experience for my own projecct. I hope this goes well! and the money goes through. Everything is in place. Including business plan, LLC formation. Excited employees, and clients that love me as a nurse. I am truly excited about this project.follow up more as I learn more..
I currently own a non medical private duty home care agency. I see such a need for a respite home in our area. A place where seniors, or disabled individuals can go for a daycare situation, or an overnight stay. For example, I see so many families struggling to take care of their loved one, work a full time job, some still have children in school. And they cannot afford full time care, the loved one cannot be alone, for long periods of time. Sometimes the family just needs a break. I have found a large home, I want to turn into a respite/hospice house. Provide a service of a safe place, comforting and social for seniors, yet peace of mind and a break for the families. And VERY reasonable, if possible, a sliding scale if I can find the funding. So the respite care could possibly be at no cost. So far I have some money saved, I need 20k to finish buying the property, this will then need rennovations. There are grants for that. I am passionate about this project, I have seen this for a long time in my mind. I will see it happen. I would like to be contacted about a SBA loan. I already have an LLC formed for my Private duty business. Feedback is appreciated. God bless.

Hi, How are you? I was just thinking of you and wondering how you are getting along. I see you have a pounding headache. Me too! I have had my battles with that quite a bit too. Hope you have a great night!
I was wondering if anyone knows of anyother finanical help other then FOODSTAMPS/TANF/MEDICAID/SECTION 8 and ENERGY ASSISTANCE. Having a disabled son I cannot afford nursing care while I work and If I work then I cannot afford my sons medical insurance and I cannot lose his medicaid because of all his medical issues all ready (he was born with spina bifida, hydrocephlaus, hydronephrosis, seizures, arnold chari malformation, heart murmur, ect.....he also has to be cathed so with all that MEDICAID is essential). I feel stuck. I have always worked until he was born. But in my situation if you work you cant make enough to survive and pay for all his medical supplies, therapies and doctors. I recieve all the assistant i stated above and he gets disabilty and minimal child support but with rent utilities his supplies vehicle gas for all his appts and insurance i cant afford to buy clothes for either one of us or toys for him or anything at all. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.... Thank you!!
I'm not sure if you're one person or a foundation of some kind. I'm on your page now; however, it's not clear who I'm speaking with. The name: Nobody's Someone is remarkable. Whoever thought of this name is creative and talented in my opinion. Nobody's Someone has an emotional catch to it! Caused me to take a pause!

I am mother's primary caregiver and we are blessed with getting along famously. I do need to work out something more reliable for respite care and perhaps grant payment for family caregiving as this is continuing for many years.

I am also being registered with the state of Missouri. I am the President of the "Center For People With Disabilities, Inc.", a small, 501-c-3 not for profit organization now based in Austin, Texas that strives to meet the unmet needs of Americans with disabilities within the six categories that we strive to address. At the moment we don't have any more funds to provide through our scholarship project in our Education Program area to people with disabilities.
Your financial contributions will go such a long way to helping to enable us to continue to bring you new, innovative and pioneering approaches and ideas to help resolve the unmet needs of American's with disabilities in terms of our six primary areas of focus: Space and Technology Transfer, Education, Civil Rights, Religion (access to religious places of worship and Jews with disabilities), Emergency Trauma Care Delivery and Environmental Disabilities. Please join us in our efforts to bring the unrealized dreams of tomorrow into the world of today for so many people with disabilities and the elderly disabled. Thank you.
How are you doing with the skin cancer? I had it but it was basal and got removed. I had about 10 of them and I am fair skinned and tried to tan when I was 29. I paid for it later.
I found something your state offers and will share it with you.
The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program provides cash assistance to low-income families with children while they strive to become self-sufficient. The program's goal is to reduce the number of families living in poverty, through employment and community resources
To qualify for TANF, families must have very few assets and little or no income. The current maximum monthly benefit for a family of three is $528.
Applying for TANF
You can apply for TANF by downloading an application and instructions below. You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader software to view these PDF files. You can download the free software at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
These application forms should be printed and filled out by hand and then brought or sent to a local DHS Self-sufficiency office.

Other services
Many families in the TANF program receive help with needs such as employment, housing, child care, domestic violence and other factors that affect family stability.
Pre-TANF
The intent of the Pre-TANF Program is to provide initial screening and case management to families applying for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. This may include cash assistance as necessary to complete the plan and meet basic living expenses when other resources are not available.
Before Pre-TANF Program services begin, an assessment of the immediate unmet needs and strengths of the whole family is completed, eligibility is determined for Food Stamps and TANF-related medical benefits, and TANF eligibility factors are reviewed for presumed eligibility. A family may remain in the Pre-TANF program for as little as one day or up to 45-days, depending on the family's situation.
Pre-TANF includes an orientation on activities and services available in the local area. Case workers and other agency partners will assist clients in identifying family strengths as well as needs. While in Pre-TANF clients will:
*
Learn about other resources that may be available, like child support or SSI (Social Security)
*
Use job search and job readiness activities to find and prepare for work.
*
Learn more about how to get the job they want.
In Pre-TANF, DHS can help pay for childcare and transportation while clients look for work. DHS can also help pay for items needed to start a job. Examples include uniforms, special tools and car repairs.
Post-TANF Program
The goal of the Post-TANF program is to provide parents who become ineligible for TANF due to income, a monthly grant of $100 for up to one year. Post-TANF clients must stay employed and work a minimum number of hours per week. This grant will help families with transitional expenses of employment. There is an income cap of 250% of the federal poverty level.
Some other services that may assist families are:
* Family Support & Connections
* Alcohol or drug assessment and treatment
* Child care
* Domestic violence
* Disability benefits
* JOBS employment and training program
* Housing
* Mental health assessment and treatment
* Medical care
The TANF program is administered by the Children, Adults and Families (CAF) Division of the Department of Human Services (DHS). All services are provided through local DHS offices.
Child support from absent parents
In addition, the Department of Human Services (DHS) works with the Department of Justice (DOJ) to help clients obtain child support from absent parents. For help getting child support payments, contact Department of Justice.
